ARTIST STATEMENT
Our novels, paintings, sculptures and poems are snail windings we leave
behind to prove that we were here. The artist is the real work-in-progress,
a dance of perfection across the universe. Let our lives reflect the light,
the love, the gift of grace.
BIOGRAPHICAL
Greenwood works full time as a reporter for The Taos News and teaches
creative writing through the University of New Mexico-Taos. She makes a
significant part of her living editing fiction and non-fiction and can
supply excellent references. Her photos are for sale in limited editions of
25, framed or unframed.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
AWARDS
1999
Silverhawk Fine Arts Exhibition
In 1988 she won the Katherine Anne Porter
Award and in 1995 the PEN New Mexico Award. Most recently, she won the New
Mexico Press Association's E. H. Shaffer Award for Best Review.
Phaedra took third place in the National Nikon Contest in 1985
and fifteen of her photos were selected for permanent display in the Los
Alamos Medical Center. She has shown her work at the local library and
frequently publishes her photos with stories in The Taos News.

Phaedra has also been published in a number of magazines and literary journals
including The Bloomsbury Review, High Country News, East/West Journal, The
